Butterfly Gardens
If you have ever been in a butterfly garden, we are sure that you
will agree that they are peaceful places. Butterfly gardens are
nectar sources and attract pollinators to the garden. Butterflies
are beautiful creatures and they are one of the best examples
demonstrating the transformational process! We all move
through stages of development as we grow and evolve during
our lifetime. So do butterflies! They just have a much shorter life
span.
Life Stages of a Butterfly
Butterflies move through four very distinct stages:
1. Egg
2. Caterpillar (also referred to as the Larva)
3. Pupa (also referred to as the Chrysalis)
4. Adult (Butterfly)
Did you know that each butterfly has a different caterpillar and
chrysalis?
