HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
This four year, pre–university course of study is designed to meet the needs Available School Options
of highly–motivated students wishing to engage in a tailored curriculum with
opportunities to pursue studies in mathematics, science, engineering , and Choice
technology. STEM students take courses through the Advanced International · Royal Palm Beach Community High
Certificate in Education (AICE) partnership and the College Board Advanced In–House
Placement program. Students may have opportunities to participate in SECME and · Boca Raton Community High
other learning experiences such as First Robotics competitions and computer game
design. Boca Raton Community High School students choose between engineering
and an architectural drafting course track. All students applying to these programs
must meet the following eligibility criteria: 3.0 GPA.
Small School Continuum
The Small School Continuum at Village Academy is a unique school model that is Available School Options
designed to provide a continuous and nurturing educational experience for students
in a small school environment. Located on one school campus, Village Academy Choice
students in kindergarten through grade 12 participate in a continuum of experiences · Village Academy
in Information Technology and Geospatial Technology, including preparation for In–House: None available
future careers in urban planning, engineering, medicine, mathematics, chemistry,
meteorology, physics, oceanography, data science, business, law, and humanities.
There are no eligibility criteria required for students applying to this program.
Spanish Dual Language
The Spanish Dual Language program offers a continuation for students who have Available School Options
been in a Spanish Dual Language program at the middle level or who have a high
level of Spanish language proficiency. Highly motivated students are engaged in a Choice: None available
challenging academic environment in which three of their core academic courses are In–House
taught in Spanish. A Spanish language placement test may be given in order to verify · Forest Hill Community High
Spanish language proficiency. There are no eligibility criteria required for students
applying to this program.
Sports Management and Recreation
The Sports Management and Recreation program provides students the opportunity
to pursue a course of study leading to college degrees in sports management, Available School Options
marketing, recreation, health and fitness. Students take courses that stress
communication, problem solving, teamwork, business and technology, as well as Choice
participate in summer internships. For hands–on experiences, students plan and run · Palm Beach Gardens Community High
at least one sporting event. Through internships and special projects, students apply In–House: None available
business knowledge learned in school and in the community. All students applying to
these programs must meet the following eligibility criteria: 2.5 GPA
Television and Film Production Technology
The Television and Film Production Technology program is dedicated to providing
quality education in the organization and dissemination of ideas through television Available School Options
and film production. Students are taught in professional broadcast studios Choice
with high quality equipment. Students benefit by the use of recording studios, · Palm Beach Gardens Community High
remote cameras, video recorders, video switching and editing equipment, and · Seminole Ridge Community High
comprehensive computer graphics to complete academic and extracurricular In–House
projects. Students are prepared to function as members of a technical team by · Park Vista Community High—
participating in activities that simulate the conditions found in television and Multimedia Communications
production studios as well as on–location events. There are no eligibility criteria
required for students applying to these programs.
