               Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Special Needs Classification Codes

               Code letters frequently describe disabilities. These codes will be displayed on bus schedules for drivers and
               attendants and school district personnel/parents will also use them:

                  Autism Spectrum Disorder
                   (ASD)
                  Emotionally/Behaviorally
                   Disabled (EBD)
                  Intellectually Disabled (IND)
                  Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
                  Dual Sensory-Impaired (DSI)

                   (SLD)
                  Visually-Impaired (VI)
                  Physically-Impaired (PI)
                  Orthopedically Impaired (OI)
                  Other Health Impaired (OHI)
