The Multiagency Network for Students
with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities

The Multiagency Network for Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (SEDNET) creates and facilitates a network of key stakeholders committed to assisting in the provision of a quality system of care for children with, or at-risk of, emotional/behavioral disabilities (EB/D) and their families.

Interagency collaborations and efforts to link agencies is one of the primary roles that SEDNET holds in the community. Educational, juvenile justice and child welfare professionals all collaborate with SEDNET via interagency agreements and committees. SEDNET also works closely with The School District of Palm Beach County’s Foster Care Liaison to support her efforts with school placements and transportation.

SEDNET collaborates with other agencies and other professionals to provide training within the School District and for community organizations in various areas, to include trainings for families, educators, and community partners. In the 2013-2014 school year, SEDNET facilitated an overview of SEDNET for Boys Town and the Parents as Liaisons Team at The School District of Palm Beach County.

SEDNET participated and assisted in various activities across the county. SEDNET facilitated sessions for parents and students during the STARS Conference, held in February 2014. SEDNET also participated and assisted with introductions of speakers in the First Annual Student Mental Health and Wellness Conference, held in Palm Beach County.
