Title: P3 RFP 05C-005N for Indoor Air Quality Services

Recommendation:

I recommend award of RFP 05C-005N for Indoor Air Quality and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all necessary documents.

Description:

Approve the award of RFP 05C-005N for Indoor Air Quality Services 

·      RFP 05C-005N for Indoor Air Quality Services was solicited on January 31, 2005.  A total of 104 vendors were notified of the availability of the RFP.   Responses received totaled 26.

·      The Evaluation Committee, consisting of District staff, convened and reviewed proposals and recommended awards based upon the evaluation criteria outlined in the RFP. 

·      It was the recommendation of the Committee to award in three categories.  For categories A and B, all vendors scoring 75 and above are recommended.  For Category C, the sole responsive, responsible vendor is recommended.

·      Category A is a complete turn-key operation.  Category B is corrective actions to include HVAC services, mold mitigation, drywall repairs and painting, and general cleaning.  Category C is general cleaning services.

·      Copies of the RFP documents are attached.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the District Budget is estimated at $2,500,000.   The source of funds is the Environmental Control Office budget.
