Title: CS3 Consider Approval to Close Double F Charter Schools - Delray Boynton Academy Charter School and

Recommendation:

I recommend that the School Board take emergency action and approve the closing of two Double F Charter Schools; Delray Boynton Academy Charter School and Riviera Beach Academy Charter School effective immediately and authorize the Superintendent or designee to sign all documents related to this action.

- Florida Department of Education Assistance Plus Plan, District School Board Requirements (Sec. 1001.42 (16)(a), F.S.) Must close double F charter schools.

- 75 students in grades 6th through 8th attend Delray Boynton Academy Charter School

- 113 students in grades 6th through 8th attend Riviera Beach Academy Charter School

- Parents of students attending these schools will be given choices, including Opportunity Scholarships, McKay Scholarships, NCLB Choice, or returning to zoned school.
