Title: CS3-Amendment to June 2006 Charter Agreement for Lakeside Academy

Recommendation:

I recommend that the School Board approve the Amendment to the Charter Agreement signed June 2006 for an additional five (5) year contract.

Description:

The charter school was offered a one-year renewal contract June 2006 with conditions prior to entering into a long-term contract.

Lakeside Academy has corrected the five (5) areas of deficiencies i.e. increase enrollment, students' academic growth, documented ESE services, governance  and Capital Project Plan.  (See attached Exhibits A - E)

The Addendum to Charter Agreement for Lakeside Academy Charter School was agreed upon by all parties on June 28, 2006.  (See attached)

A copy of the Lakeside Academy Contract is on file in the Board Office for your review.

Financial Impact:

There is no financial impact to the District.
