Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve an Agreement for Construction Management at Risk Services and Preconstruction Phase Services Fee in the amount of $192,449. to Suffolk Construction Company, Inc., and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents for Pre-Construction fees West Palm Beach Area ES 06-D, Project No. 400000006. Description: Construction Management @ Risk Services required for Preconstruction Phase Services including design review and recommendation to establish a Guaranteed Maximum Price for construction of a 126,163 gross square foot, 996 student station elementary school with related site facilities. Construction Shall be in accordance with the Educational Specifications approved on January 24, 2007. Estimated Budget for Construction: $ $24,727,948. (Five Year Capital Plan) Construction Type: To be determined during Preconstruction Phase No. of Stories: To be determined during Preconstruction Phase. Gross Square Feet: 126,162 Estimated Total New Student Stations: 996 Estimated Construction Cost/Student Station: $24,827. Preconstruction Phase Services Fee: $138,199. Reimbursable Expenses: $54,250. Total: $192,449 Four (4) firms responded to the RFP and all four (4) were shortlisted. The final ranking of the Selection Committee is as follows: (1) Suffolk Construction Company, Inc. (2) C.R. Klewin Southeast, Inc. (3) James B Pirtle Construction Company Inc. (4) Centex Construction LLC Minority Sub-consultant Participation: 15% Financial Impact: The financial impact is $192,449. The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Projects Budget.
