Title: CP-5 Amend the CM Agreement for Fulton-Holland Educational Services Center (FHESC) Window Replacemen

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve an Amendment to the Construction Management at Risk Agreement to establish the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for construction in the amount of $6,788,464. to Urban Building Systems Inc. for Fulton-Holland Educational Services Center Exterior Window and Door Replacement Project, Project No. 1881-9603, and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents.

Description:

Construction Management @ Risk Services required for replacement of all exterior windows and doors, including removal of shutters on the B-Wing, roofing of the patio roofs, replacement of louvers, other associated envelope activities, and restoration of interior areas adjacent to the windows and doors.  Windows will be replaced with large missile impact resistant glazing.

 

Estimated Construction Budget: $4,427,500. (Five Year Capital Plan)

FEMA reimbursement:               $2,149,356.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact is a commitment of $6,838,699. which includes the GMP of $6,788,464. and $50,235. for the District provided Builder’s Risk Insurance. The source of funds is the Minor Projects Budget, and $2,149,356. FEMA reimbursement.
