                Raised Beds
              (At least 18” tall)
         •  Popular for visual appeal
         •  Can be expensive to create
         •  Roots may become tangled







                                               In Ground Gardens
                                            •  Very affordable
                                            •  No barrier to pests
                                            •  Soil may need significant
                                              nutrients




            Herb  Gardens
       •  Easy to grow and  maintain
       •  Require little sun and fertilizer
       •  Soil drains well
       •  Can be grown in pots or planted
         in the ground


                                              Container Gardens
                                            •  Fairly affordable
                                            •  Provides some protection
                                              from pests
                                            •  Can be pots or bags
                                            •  Pots must be big enough to
                                              accommodate the plant’s
                                              root system
                                            •  Must be watered frequently
                                            •  Be sure to secure indoors
                                              during hurricanes
