HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS


        Automotive Service Technology                                           Available School Options
        The Automotive Service Technology program provides hands–on training in a fully   Choice
        integrated, computerized, state–of–the art facility. This academy prepares students
        for employment and/or specialized training in the automotive industry including     · Park Vista Community High
        Automotive Lubrication, Automotive Brake System, Automobile Suspension   In–House
        and Steering, Automotive Electrical/Electronic System and Automotive Engine     · Seminole Ridge Community High
        Performance.  This program  focuses  on  understanding  and  demonstration  of  the
        following elements of the automotive industry: planning, management, finance,
        technical and product skills, as well as the underlying principles of technology, labor
        issues, community issues and health, safety and environmental issues. There are no
        eligibility criteria required for students applying to these programs.
        Aviation and Aerospace Technology                                       Available School Options
        The Aviation Technology program at West Boca Raton Community High School
        is designed to prepare students for a career in the aviation industry. The program   Choice: None available
        immerses  students in  the latest  cutting-edge technology  in  Aviation and  Airport   In–House
        Management including but not limited to; pilot knowledge, aerodynamic principles,     · West Boca Raton Community High
        airspace, weather, flight deck instruments, Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), radio
        communications, safety, and airport management. West Boca Raton Community
        High School has partnered with both the Boca Airport Authority and Lynn University
        to offer students a myriad of experience opportunities, dual high school and college
        credits, and practical aviation industry experience within the local community.
        All students applying to this program must meet the following eligibility criteria:
        2.5 GPA.
        Band/Music Industry                                                     Available School Options
        The core curriculum for students interested in pursuing the Band/Music Industry   Choice
        academy is Music Theory, Advanced International Certificate in Education (AICE)     · Santaluces Community High
        Music for college credit, Commercial Music, and band or chorus ensembles. The   In–House: None available
        Music academy offers honors credits in instrumental and vocal music as well as a
        unique music theater course. Students have opportunities for multiple ensemble
        experiences.  The Commercial Music course is designed for students interested in the
        production of popular music. The commercial music track covers all different aspects
        related to music production in today’s music industry. All students applying to this
        program must meet the following eligibility criteria: 2.0 GPA.
