HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Biotechnology Available School Options
The Biotechnology program is a program delivered in a state–of–the–art facility that Choice
offers students the opportunity to prepare for the career path and the challenges
of college. The students have a wide variety of experiences that may include the · Palm Beach Lakes Community High

opportunity to “gown–up” and work in a clean room. Students experiment with plants · Spanish River Community High
while studying the science of hydroponics in the school’s hydroponics greenhouses. In–House: None available
Technology is infused throughout the curriculum. These academies have established
partnerships with biotech companies in the area. All students applying to these
programs must meet the following eligibility criteria: 3.0 GPA.
Center for Pre–Law/Law Related Careers at The Gerald A. Available School Options
Williams Center for Pre–Law
Pre–Law and Law–Related programs are designed for students interested in careers Choice
in law, legal service and public affairs. Students may participate in internships in · Palm Beach Lakes Community High
government agencies, law offices, and law enforcement facilities. They are exposed In–House: None available
to a broad range of law–related issues by teachers, guest speakers, and field trips,
as they gain an in–depth understanding of how the legal system impacts every
aspect of society. Students have the opportunity to learn in a courtroom lab setting
through The Gerald A. Williams Center for Pre–Law. Community partnerships create
outstanding school–to–work experiences in areas such as courts, law enforcement,
corrections, probation, and justice. All students applying to this program must
meet the following eligibility criteria: 2.5 GPA.
Civil Air Patrol Available School Options
The Civil Air Patrol Program (CAP) is designed to build a student's character by
instilling skills as a leader. Cadets will be exposed to concepts in the Aerospace Choice
industry and career exploration tied to a STEM curriculum. The program consists of · Pahokee Middle-Senior High
three missions: Aerospace Education, Cadet Program, and Emergency Services. Upon In–House: None available
completion of the CAP program, Cadets are eligible to earn up to two pay grades
higher than others should they choose to further their career in the Armed Forces.
There are no eligibility criteria required for students applying to this program.
Commercial Digital Photography- IIT Available School Options
This Commercial Digital Photography Program features in‐depth skills in all aspects Choice
of digital photography, including the details of equipment and software use. The · Suncoast High School
secondary courses in this pathway allow students to follow the more artistic aspects In–House: None available
of photography and application. Industry certification in Adobe Photoshop is offered
in this course of study. The Commercial Digital Photography pathway prepares
students for career opportunities in the many fields of photography, including
advertising, aerial, commercial, crime scene, photojournalism, wedding, wildlife
and many more specialized areas of photography. There are no eligibility criteria
required for students applying to this program.
Available School Options
Communication Arts
The Communication Arts program is the first of its kind to exist anywhere in the Choice
United States. It offers a multi-strand curriculum that promotes proficiency in speech · A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts
and debate, print and broadcast journalism, yearbook, creative writing, graphic In–House: None available
design, digital video/film production and television production. The program
prepares students to be leaders in the various fields of Communications through
participation in performances, publications and productions. All students applying
to these programs must meet the following eligibility criteria: 2.0 GPA and an
eligible audition score.
