HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Available School Options
This four year, pre–university course of study is designed to meet the needs
of highly–motivated students wishing to engage in a tailored curriculum with Choice
opportunities to pursue studies in mathematics, science, engineering , and · Royal Palm Beach Community High
technology. STEM students take courses through the Advanced International In–House
Certificate in Education (AICE) partnership and the College Board Advanced · Boca Raton Community High
Placement program. Students may have opportunities to participate in SECME and
other learning experiences such as First Robotics competitions and computer game
design. Boca Raton Community High School students choose between engineering
and an architectural drafting course track. All students applying to these programs
must meet the following eligibility criteria: 3.0 GPA.
Small School Continuum Available School Options
The Small School Continuum at Village Academy is a unique school model that is
designed to provide a continuous and nurturing educational experience for students Choice
in a small school environment. Located on one school campus, Village Academy · Village Academy
students in kindergarten through grade 12 participate in a continuum of experiences In–House: None available
in Information Technology and Geospatial Technology, including preparation for
future careers in urban planning, engineering, medicine, mathematics, chemistry,
meteorology, physics, oceanography, data science, business, law, and humanities.
There are no eligibility criteria required for students applying to this program.
Spanish Dual Language
The Spanish Dual Language program offers a continuation for students who have Available School Options
been in a Spanish Dual Language program at the middle level or who have a high Choice: None available
level of Spanish language proficiency. Highly motivated students are engaged in a In–House
challenging academic environment in which three of their core academic courses are · Forest Hill Community High
taught in Spanish. All students applying to this program must receive an eligible
score on a Spanish assessment test.
Sports Management and Recreation Available School Options
The Sports Management and Recreation program provides students the opportunity
to pursue a course of study leading to college degrees in sports management, Choice
marketing, recreation, health and fitness. Students take courses that stress · Palm Beach Gardens Community High
communication, problem solving, teamwork, business and technology, as well as In–House: None available
participate in summer internships. For hands–on experiences, students plan and run
at least one sporting event. Through internships and special projects, students apply
business knowledge learned in school and in the community. All students applying
to these programs must meet the following eligibility criteria: 2.5 GPA
Television and Film Production Technology
Available School Options
The Television and Film Production Technology program is dedicated to providing
quality education in the organization and dissemination of ideas through television Choice
and film production. Students are taught in professional broadcast studios · Palm Beach Gardens Community High
with high quality equipment. Students benefit by the use of recording studios, · Seminole Ridge Community High
remote cameras, video recorders, video switching and editing equipment, and In–House
comprehensive computer graphics to complete academic and extracurricular · Park Vista Community High—
projects. Students are prepared to function as members of a technical team by Multimedia Communications
participating in activities that simulate the conditions found in television and
production studios as well as on–location events. There are no eligibility criteria
required for students applying to these programs.
