Irrigation / Sprinklers
Schools should contact their Area Manager to schedule a
consultation meeting with a member of the irrigation team. An
irrigation representative will assist with the project scope, existing
conditions and other miscellaneous items that may need to be
addressed.
New Irrigation, Modifications or Changes
Sprinklers are required for school gardens and already exist on
school campuses. If sprinkler heads do not exist in a potential
garden location, the school may contact the Purchasing
Department to have the District’s irrigation vendor relocate the
sprinkler heads for them.
All modifications to the existing irrigation system are to be funded
by the school, using a District irrigation contractor. The irrigation
team in the Maintenance and Plant Operations Department will
assist schools in developing the scope of work and obtaining
a quote. Schools should work with their Area Manager and the
District’s Purchasing Department regarding any work that will be
done with a vendor.
Garden Pests
Whenever you see ant mounds, insect nests or unwanted wildlife
outside your garden area, please submit a work order immediately
so that the issue can be addressed and resolved.
Work Order Procedure
Work orders should be placed for minor repairs to existing
irrigation systems and pest/insect related issues through the
Tririga system. If you are unfamiliar with the process, contact the
Maintenance and Plant Operations Department for guidance.
