Wellness Promotion Policy (2.035)

On May 31, 2006, the first draft of our Wellness Promotion Policy was adopted by the School Board, and since
then, this policy has received five additional adoptions.  The last adoption was on March 27, 2019. This
Policy continues to fulfill the requirement under Federal and Florida laws that school districts have a local
“school wellness policy” to promote student health, safety, and the reduction of childhood obesity. It creates
a wellness culture for all students and staff emphasizing the connection between learning and health.
