HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Music—Band Available School Options
Programs offering development of extensive study in sight-reading skills,
improvisational skills, and performance techniques while encompassing various levels Choice
of music theory. More than twenty different student ensembles, ranging from classical · A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts
to jazz, Marching and Drum line, rehearse and perform throughout the year. They · Boynton Beach Community High

Internationally recognized, the Keyboard program offers extensive study in the Music
industry. Courses encompass three levels of music theory including Music Theory, Choice

interested in the Philharmonic, String Orchestra, and Instrumental Ensemble. Courses Choice

Students in the Vocal program develop a proper vocal technique and an
understanding of vocal mechanism. Students will also learn musical notation, sight Choice

Navy JROTC Available School Options
The Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) program teaches
self–discipline, self–confidence and leadership skills to meet life’s challenges. Choice

classroom training supplemented by field trips to various naval facilities. Upon In–House

Successful completion of the NJROTC program allows entry into the armed
forces up to two pay grades higher than other enlistees without NJROTC
experience. All cadets are required to adhere to the U.S. Navy standards
including authorized haircut regulations as part of the uniform requirement.
