The Palm Beach County School District Police Department provides
security and supports operation on all District-operated property.
School Police provides police officers, police aides, 24-hour accessibility for
emergencies, intrusion alarm protection, video cameras in schools, video
recovery on school buses, card access, crisis response team training, VITAL
training and retraining, crisis planning, positive preventative education, and
fingerprinting for all employees, vendors, contractors, background checks,
and identification badges.
School police • School Police officers are stationed at every District school.
School Police for the 2021 - 2022 School Year:
• Fast, effective, and coordinated response to emergency situations.
• Threat assessment procedures and teams at every school.
FINGERPRINTING and • Continuation of all safety initiatives and support of social
distancing.
BADGES • Continued coordination through the Tactical Operations Center.
• Collaboration with ESE and Safe Schools on potential school safety
issues.
• Centralized Behavioral Services Team (police and mental health
approach to prevention, intervention, and diversion).
BACKGROUND • State-mandated emergency drills will continue with social
