Strategic Plan Development

In March 2021, the School District of Palm Beach County began developing its new five-year
Strategic Plan. This in-depth process garnered thousands of stakeholders’ input through steering
committee meetings, focus groups, student engagement activities, community Thought Exchange
input, District leadership retreats, and Board Workshops.

Under the overarching theme of “educate, affirm, and inspire”, the new Strategic Plan has the
District's mission and vision statements at the forefront. The Strategic Plan highlights four themes
with aligned initiatives curated to meet the demands of our students and the community:

1. Academic Growth and Excellence
2. Student Focused Culture
3. Mental Health and Wellness
4. Committed and Impactful Employees

Below is a compilation of stakeholders’ input and high school students' thoughts and ideas who
participated in the strategic plan engagement activities. During this process, students responded
to questions such as, “What would you do, know, or experience if you were educated, affirmed, and
inspired?”
