P. 79

During the life of this plan, the following will be accomplished:

 Provide adequate training on District standard technology tools.
 Provide adequate on-site support for technology integration to all our schools and
                       departments.
 Align the School Improvement Plan with the School District Strategic Plan.
 Develop partnerships for professional development opportunities which will enable
us to produce productive citizens in the workforce.
 Ensure the District provides every opportunity for teachers, school-based and District
stakeholders to improve their technical proficiency and the ability to integrate the
                       technology into the curriculum.
 Offer every employee the opportunity to participate in diverse personalized learning
experiences. Employees will choose from multiple platforms that offer competency-
based credentials with multiple means of demonstrating mastery.
 Participate in professional development opportunities in order to assist our
employees and stakeholders in obtaining the knowledge and skills necessary to
incorporate technology into the classroom/workplace. The incorporation of this
technology will assist us in serving our students and prepare them for entrance into
                       the global workforce.
 Expand online professional learning opportunities to parents and guardians through
                       the use of various formats.
 Technology will enhance professional learning environments by providing interactive
tools for collaboration and feedback between participants and instructors.

               Evaluation System

               Teacher Evaluations
Teachers’ evaluations are composed of three components: Instructional Practice, a
Professional Growth Plan, and Student Learning Growth. The instructional practice portion is
gathered through classroom observations and evidence is recorded by school
administrators. This data is entered and housed in a third-party portal run by Learning
Sciences International (LSI). This portal allows the teacher to access real time data on their
observations, feedback, and scoring. There is also a resource library that gives teachers
access to videos and activities to improve their practice. The administrators can track their
entire staff's observations and scoring by pulling reports and analyzing results. The
professional growth plan is also housed in this portal from LSI and allows a teacher to
choose a specific area for improvement and to track their progress throughout the year.

The last component of a teacher's evaluation is calculated through scoring models
generated by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) and our District departments of
Assessment and Research and Evaluation. The FLDOE calculates student growth using the
Value Added Model (VAM) which is a complicated algorithm that measures actual student
