The Let’s Move: Commit to Change Physical Activity Challenge is a county-wide campaign, presented
by Digital Vibez, Inc. and Palm Health Foundation. This initiative focused on physical activity, nutrition and
healthy behaviors. The challenge invited all Palm Beach County residents to form teams, get moving together,
and commit to exercising at least 30 minutes a day, which took place March 1-31, 2021. Since FY21 was
a challenging school year, it was especially important for students and all District staff to maintain healthy
behaviors that benefit both their physical and mental health. The ideal goal was for all who participated in the
challenge to take charge of their health and continue incorporating physical activity in their daily lives beyond
the month of March.
Daily physical activity can improve overall health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases such
as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and cancer. In addition to boosting the immune system, physical
activity also greatly benefits mental health by reducing sensitivity to stress, depression and anxiety, among
other things. Overall, your quality of life improves by simply adding 30 minutes of physical activity to your
daily routine. This was an excellent opportunity for staff, administrators, students, and the entire community
to renew and recommit to individual fitness goals by logging in the number of minutes each person exercised
each day during March 2021. The District received 4th Place Most Minutes Logged with a total of 3,207,674
minutes out of the 59,472,053 minutes logged in the entire Palm Beach County.
