Garden of Dreams
The Garden of Dreams program, started in 2018, has expanded to five (5) middle schools in Palm Beach
County. Designed in the style of serenity gardens, the project has provided space for hundreds of middle school
students to have a place to practice mindfulness by powering down, recharging, and regrouping. In addition
to the beautiful space for them to connect with nature, and to support our District’s SEL initiatives, students
are introduced to different thinking modalities to help them expand their self awareness, effectively manage
their own behavior and to provide tools and strategies to assist them with their decision making process.
In FY22, rather than add additional gardens, the decision was made to revitalize the existing five gardens. We
are grateful for the generosity of our Garden of Dreams benefactors, Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful and the
Solid Waste Authority, whose commitment and passion have made this program possible. We are also thankful
to Native Choice Nursery and Green Thumb for the garden designs and installations.
