Human Growth and Development
Human Growth and Development (HG&D) was taught in grades K-12 as per Florida Statute 1003.42(2)(n),
1003.46, and the District’s Wellness Policy 2.035. Human Growth and Development is the final unit of all
Science Courses in grades K-12. In FY22, the District taught over 135,000 students in the Human Growth and
Development unit.
In addition, 111 teachers received Professional Development on the Human Growth & Development
curriculum.
