                                     15Wellness Promotion Policy (2.035)In addition, our District continued its active membership in Action for Healthy Kids%u2019 NSDWC. This coalition supported school districts in informing, coordinating, enhancing, and measuring the development and implementation of equitable Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model%u2013related practices and policies. The coalition%u2019s mission focused on ensuring that students and staff were healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged, while driving a national education agenda that prioritized the Whole Child.With origins dating back to the 2013 Urban School Wellness Coalition, Action for Healthy Kids expanded the coalition%u2019s scope in 2020 to include districts from both urban and non-urban areas, fostering a diverse exchange of ideas and solutions. The formed NSDWC successfully translated WSCC standards into actionable policies and implementation plans for districts nationwide. During FY25, the District participated in the NSDWC Convening held November 12%u201314, 2024. District representatives contributed as presenters, including Eric Stern, who participated on a District Panel addressing Fiscal Challenges and Solutions for Underfunded Districts, and Julie Acevedo and Paula Triana, who presented Connecting Hearts: Igniting Family Engagement and Community Spirit.The District remained honored and engaged in this invaluable coalition, which reached over 244 individuals representing 81 districts across 25 states and Washington, D.C. during FY25.Current Membership244 individualsRepresenting 81 school districtsAcross 25 states + DCNSDWCMay 20253National School District Wellness Coalition (NSDWC)
