HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Global Business and Entrepreneurship Available School Options
The Global Business and Entrepreneurship program has been designed to simulate a
college curriculum. Students take cornerstone courses their freshman and sophomore Choice
years, which give them essential skills and an overview in the Global Business area. · Palm Beach Gardens Community High
Participation in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and R.O.P.E.S. leadership In–House: None available
training helps students enhance their skills in communication, problem solving,
teamwork and computer technology with an opportunity to earn the Microsoft Office
Specialist industry certification. All students applying to this program must meet the
following eligibility criteria: 2.5 GPA.
Horticulture
The Horticulture program provides course work in a variety of agricultural and Available School Options
horticultural areas. The program operates a working nursery as well as upgrading and
maintaining planted areas around campus. Students develop skill and knowledge Choice: None available
in areas such as plant identification, forestry practices, and animal husbandry. Each In–House
student is required to create and complete a horticultural project as well as community · Jupiter Community High
service activities. There are no eligibility criteria required for students applying to this
program.
Information Technology
The Information Technology program offers an innovative, integrated learning Available School Options
environment focused on computers, technology, and communications. The program Choice
provides students with the training and skills necessary for careers such as: Computer · Boynton Beach Community High
Operation, Computer Support, Electronics Technology, Graphic Design, Multimedia & · Forest Hill Community High
Web Design, Network Systems, PC Support and Word Processing, and Cybersecurity. · Pahokee High (Digital Design)

Information Technology/Geospatial Information Systems (GIS)
Information Technology for high school is designed for students who wish to pursue careers
in computer technology, engineering, and GIS –Geospatial information systems. The course
work in this secondary program includes AP Computer Science Principles, Intro to GIS Available School Options
Technology, Essentials GIS Tools and Processes, GIS Analysis and Modeling, Advanced GIS Choice
Applications, leading to industry certifications. Students investigate and research through · Village Academy
a variety of social and service learning projects using GIS mapping tools provided by the In–House: None available
Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). Students learn to capture, manage and
analyze geographic information that will be related to human services, global concerns,
governmental concerns, and transportation. Village Academy integrates technology, social
and project–based learning opportunities to collaboratively problem solve in an internship
setting. There are no eligibility criteria required for students applying to this program.
Innovative Interactive Technology
The Innovative Interactive Technology program is designed for the student who wishes
to pursue a technological pathway. Students may elect one of three highly sought-after Available School Options
technology-based pathways: Drafting and Design, Commercial Digital Photography, or
Game, Simulation, and Animation Programming, in which students may earn industry Choice
certifications in Toonboom Storyboard Pro, Toonboom Harmony for animation and · Suncoast Community High
Microsoft’s software development in C#. Students in Drafting and Design Technology In–House: None available
may earn Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, AutoDesk- Inventor, Revit Architecture and
MasterCam X9 industry certifications. Students in Commercial Digital can earn Adobe
Photoshop industry certification. This coursework offers real world application along
with the opportunity to earn college credit through Advanced Placement classes. There
are no eligibility criteria required for students applying to this program.
