Mental Health and Wellness
Initiatives under the theme of Mental Health and
Wellness involve providing resources for mental
health support, implementing strategies to reduce
stress and anxiety, and promoting a positive school
climate where students feel supported and valued.
• Curated relationship-matching strategies, best
practices, and conversation starters for school
staff.
• Awarded DOJ grant to provide support to school
teams.
• Piloted the School Resource Mapping/Quality
Assessment Tool (SRMQAT) in five schools.
• All principals, behavioral health professionals, and school psychologists have been provided professional learning on
trauma-informed care.
• Created 13 additional school relaxation rooms and 20 more department relaxation stations.
Committed and Impactful Employees
The theme of Committed and Impactful Employees
focuses on strategies that enhance staff well-
being and provide the necessary resources and
programs to achieve outstanding performance.
• Completed the Annual Employee Satisfaction
and Wellness Survey.
• Developed course pilot for school and District-
based supervisors to foster employee success
and provide the knowledge and skills for the
effective and efficient use of resources.
• Relaunched the District’s brand, Your Best
Choice .
• Designed and launched the District’s Catch the
WAVE of Customer Service Excellence campaign.
• Designed an eLearning Catch the WAVE course. Twenty thousand staff members completed the course.
