        Supporting Communities                                                                                                     Hunger Relief Collaboration Team (HRCT)
        The  Department  of  Multicultural  Education  serves  to  meet  the  educational  needs  of  a diverse  student
        population of English Language Learners (ELLs) representing 28% of the total student population served by

        engaging in deeper learning on ensuring that each school and department is welcoming and inclusive for all
        students, but particularly for any who are part of the immigrant or migrant communities.
        In addition, to keep all communities involved in FY19 and FY20 the District did the following:
              ‚  The District cooperated and collaborated with appropriate community agencies to promote health and
               wellness for its students, families, and staff consistent with the District’s goals of the Wellness Promotion
               Policy.
              ‚  The District promoted collaborative partnerships with community agencies to develop and implement
               joint projects that responded to students’ socio-emotional and learning needs.

                                                                                                                                   Due to COVID-19, the School Food Service Department and the Transportation Services Department organized
                                                                                                                                   and  provided a total of 159,323 boxes of food (non-perishable and produce) at open feeding sites to feed the
