        Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS)                                                                                          Safe & Supportive School Climates
        The Youth Risk Behavior Survey is administered in January of odd numbered years, most recently in January                  Welcoming and inclusive schools are extremely important to ensure all students have a safe and supportive

                                                                                                                                                                         This is all a part of our  “We’re ALL In!” Campaign. Through this
                                                                                                                                                                         campaign we support inclusive policies on discrimination (Protecting
                                                                                                                                                                         Students from Harassment and Discrimination Policy 5.001 and the
                                                                                                                                                                         Bullying and Harassment Policy 5.002), Our District Diversity and
                                                                                                                                                                         Equity Committee (Policy 1.0971) and our Equity Policy (1.041).  The
                                                                                                                                                                         District also supports inclusive curriculum such as the Human Growth
                                                                                                                                                                         and Development curriculum and instructional materials, such as
                                                                                                                                                                         our diversity libraries in Elementary, Middle and High School Media
                                                                                                                                                                         Centers.  Finally, supportive staff can be identified in various ways.
                                                                                                                                                                         We offer posters and stickers that a school may display.  We have also

                                                                                                                                                                         identifies them as a supportive, caring adult for LGBTQ+ students.
        Human Growth and Development was taught in grades
        K to 12th as per Florida State Statute 1003.42(2)(n) and
        the District’s Wellness Promotion Policy.  Human Growth
        and Development is the final unit of all Science classes
        in grades K to 12th.  The following amount of units were
        taught in Human Growth and Development in FY19.


        In addition, 81 teachers received face-to-face Professional
        Development and  125 took online Professional
        Development trainings in FY19.
