           • Health Rewards program for encouraging health actions driven by  215 wellness champions through
            excitement in activities have achieved:
                    ¾  91% overall participation in all programs
                    ¾  18% lower claims for members involved with the Real Appeal program (Reasonable Alternative
                     Action)
                ¾   Tobacco and Vape Free Environment
                ¾   Stress and Financial Management seminars and workshops
                ¾   Further building upon the fantastic Culture of Wellness
        The  School  District  has received  several  national  awards  for our  wellness  efforts.  While  healthcare  costs
        continue to climb, we are happy to report that the implemented programs are resulting in improved health
        within the School District, helping to create cost savings. In 2018, most employer plans saw an increase of 5%
        to 9%, while we benefited from no employee paid medical premium increase.
        The Employee Wellness 5-year Strategic Plan was created in 2016 to set goals for improving employee health
 Mission  and program success. The four goals established were:
                 (1)   Achieve a true workplace culture change

 The School District of Palm Beach County envisions an environment that educates employees on lifelong   ¾   2018 Gold level American Heart Association Workplace Health Achievement Index
 healthy living practices and health risk reduction through the integration of health promotion programs   ¾   2019 Cancer Gold Standard CEO Award
 and resources.  Employee Wellness is committed to sustaining a positive culture that will result in improved
 employee productivity and morale by focusing on enhancing the health, well-being and quality of life for   Wellness Program Support
 employees, their family and the community.
        By implementing our successful wellness programs, the School District is taking steps to ensure that resources

        members to pursue a healthy lifestyle, this, in turn contributes to improved health status, improved morale,

   •  Hosted over 119 onsite biometric screening events where close to 6,200 employees and their spouse/  and a greater personal commitment to a culture of wellness and healthier school environment.  In addition to
 domestic partners were screened.  happier employees who have more energy and are less stressed which contributes to increased productivity,
        the outcomes prove to be cost saving resulting in lower healthcare costs.
   •  Engaged employees through disease management programs and value based plan designs with incentives
 for individuals with diabetes or pre-diabetes resulting in the following key metrics:

 ¾   Anticipated claims cost savings of about $2.5 million every year since 2011
 ¾   Lowest pre-diabetic to diabetic conversion rate (2%) since tracking started in 2014
   ¾  71.6% consumer activation score (highest out of all UHC clients) measuring how members are
 making the optimal decision when it comes to their health
   ¾ 84% of members improving or maintaining their health state
