IT Enterprise Applications

     The Enterprise Applications team builds and supports an increasingly
     complex stack of applications that run the gamut from large, enterprise
     District-wide solutions, like SIS, ERP and TRIRIGA, to custom-tailored
     solutions for specific use by departments and everything in between.
     Enterprise Application teams also provide data integrations, provisioning
     and other support for our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.

     The department contributed significantly to our changing student needs.
     As the District went to 100% distance learning for nearly 200,000 students,
     Google Classroom and Google Meet came to the forefront. The G Suite
     Enterprise for Education purchase and installation provides students and
     teachers with advanced online classroom features. It also provides the
     District with security investigation and big data reporting tools. Additionally,
     the team rolled out a public-facing PowerBI COVID-19 Dashboard that
     reports all student and staff COVID-19 cases by school or department. (Full
     article here) It further created custom COVID-19 Tracking and Meal Barcode
     applications. The latter allows students or parents to use a digital barcode
     or printed letter to pick up Grab-and-Go meals at schools. (Full article here)
     Additional work and projects completed by the Enterprise Applications
     team include:

     •   Caring First Public Website - Design and release of the Caring First
        public website to provide students, parents, and counselors with mental
        and behavioral health service provider options
     •   Caring First Custom Application - Design and implementation to
        school-based and community service providers of a custom-built Caring
        First software application to track mental and behavioral health services

     •   Elementary Report Cards - Fully online delivery of elementary report
        cards to parents (Full article here)
     •   Transportation Dashboard - Design of Transportation dashboard of
        services and reporting
     •   Destiny Resource Manager - Upgraded to the latest version, and
        implemented Resource Manager for Chromebook inventory management
     •   Raptor - Took over application and system administration and technical
        support of Raptor for visitor tracking
     •   Signal Sciences - Purchased and implemented Web Application Firewall
        on all applications behind NGINX reverse proxies to detect and mitigate
        external attacks
     •   PeopleSoft - Automated Office Depot and Staples invoicing through
        Electronic Data Exchange
     •   TRIRIGA - Space Leasing Training transitioned to online using Google
        Meet in both a group and individual setting
     •   eLearning (ELM) - Upgraded to the latest application functionality
        provided by Oracle, including improved user interface
     •   Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) - Programmed
        extensive logic updates for PeopleSoft to enable employees to receive
        leave pay based on the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)
     •   Online Absence Form - Multi-team effort to create a custom, online
        absence management functionality in PeopleSoft to eventually replace
        the current eForm
     •   Online Performance Evaluations - Implemented the new Performance
        Evaluations on-line process in PeopleSoft to assist with performance
        reviews
     •   SIS/FOCUS
              •  Google API - Manage the implementation of the FOCUS and
                Google classroom API
              •  Mobile App - Manage the implementation of the FOCUS mobile
                app in SIS for parents, students and the community
