HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Music—Band Available School Options
Programs offering development of extensive study in sight-reading skills, improvisational
skills, and performance techniques while encompassing various levels of music theory. Choice

Internationally recognized, the Keyboard program offers extensive study in the Music
industry. Courses encompass three levels of music theory including Music Theory, Choice

perform throughout the year. All students applying to this program must meet the In–House: None available
following eligibility criteria: 2.0 GPA and a qualifying audition score.
Music—Strings Available School Options
Internationally recognized, the Strings program offers extensive study for students interested
in the Philharmonic, String Orchestra, and Instrumental Ensemble. Courses encompass Choice
three levels of music theory including Music Theory, Advanced Music Placement and Music · A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts
Composition. Student ensembles rehearse and perform throughout the year. All students In–House: None available

Music—Vocal Available School Options
Students in the Vocal program develop a proper vocal technique and an understanding
of vocal mechanism. Students will also learn musical notation, sight singing and Choice

Navy JROTC Available School Options
The Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) program teaches self– Choice
discipline, self–confidence and leadership skills to meet life’s challenges. The naval science · Boca Raton Community High
curriculum includes seamanship, oceanography, meteorology, astronomy, radar, sonar · Royal Palm Beach Community High
electronics, and leadership. Instruction consists of formal classroom training supplemented In–House
by field trips to various naval facilities. Cadets have an opportunity to take college level
courses through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and obtain numerous drone · Palm Beach Gardens Community High
certifications and the drone pilot certification. Upon completion, students are under no
obligation to enlist in the Armed Forces. Successful completion of the NJROTC program
allows entry into the Armed Forces up to two pay grades higher than other enlistees without
NJROTC experience. All cadets are required to adhere to the U.S. Navy standards
including authorized grooming regulations as part of the uniform requirement.
