Computer Science
Available School Options
The Computer Science program is designed to meet the needs of highly motivated
students who wish to major in one of the various fields within Computer Science Choice
industry. The program strives to provide college bound students with rigorous · Glades Central High
learning opportunities in an environment rich in quality of instruction, hand-on · Suncoast High School*
experiences, and course offerings. Students acquire a well-rounded foundation · West Boca Raton High (AP Computer

eligibility criteria: 3.0 GPA.
*Suncoast High School requires additional eligibility criteria to be completed by

The Computer Technology program prepares goal-oriented students interested Choice
in any field of study for a future rigorous collegiate atmosphere. It provides highly · John I. Leonard High
competitive honors and Advanced Placement courses with a strength in computer (Computer Technology/Cybersecurity)

education. All students applying to these programs must meet the following
eligibility criteria: 3.0 GPA, Algebra 1 Honors.
Construction Available School Options
The Construction program prepares students for college and employment in the
building construction industry. The program provides necessary skills to enter Choice
home–building, general contracting, and related industries. This program focuses · Seminole Ridge Community High
on broad transferable skills, stresses the understanding of all aspects of the building · West Technical Education Center
construction industry, and demonstrates essential elements of the industry such In–House

issues. Training occurs in the classroom, lab, and at actual job sites. There are no

Criminal Justice
The Criminal Justice program offers a sequence of courses that provide coherent Choice
and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant · Glades Central Community High
technical knowledge and skills. Students are prepared for further education and · Lake Worth Community High
careers in all five pathways within the Law, Public Safety and Security Career Cluster In–House
through project–based, hands–on learning activities. Practical skills and field · Atlantic Community High
exercises include: courtroom demeanor and testifying, report writing, identification, · Forest Hill Community High
collection and preservation of evidence, interviewing techniques, radio · Jupiter Community High*
communications, patrol techniques, traffic direction, traffic crash investigations, · Santaluces Community High
defensive tactics, CPR, First Aid, and fingerprinting. Students have the opportunity
to earn industry certification as Public Service Aides (PSA), as well as Accredited
Legal Secretaries (ALS). College credit opportunities are an available benefit for
eligible Criminal Justice Academy students through articulation agreements with
local colleges and universities.
*Students participating in the program at Jupiter High School will receive an
educational experience that includes an emphasis on the study of law. In addition
to the Criminal Justice curriculum, students may take a sequence of courses to
include Law Studies, Legal Systems & Concepts, International Law, Constitutional
Law, and Comprehensive Law.
All students applying to these programs must meet the following eligibility
criteria: 2.5 GPA. Background checks will be conducted on applicants.
