The first municipal-wide WiFi extender deployment occurred in Lantana on Monday, May 16, 2022.
The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, the School District of Palm Beach County, and
Palm Beach County brought together Lantana Elementary faculty, District leadership and the
Educational Technology Department, School Board members, the Education Foundation’s Board
Chairman, local government and city officials, and the Asofsky Family Foundation for this event. To
date, 165 WiFi extenders are distributed to SDPBC students and families in the town of Lantana, and
the deployment will continue in August when students return to school.
