Transportation Advisory Committee

The Transportation Advisory Committee was established in July 2022 by the Chief Operating Office to gather input from
schools regarding the services the Transportation Services Department provided. The committee’s nine members represent
all school levels, all four District regions, as well as Title I and non-Title I schools. Representation also reflects general
community enrollments and schools that are full-choice schools and Exceptional Student Education centers.
The committee began by sharing issues they experienced in FY22 to identify areas to address during FY23. Several
meetings were held over the year where challenges were shared, options were discussed, and updates on progress were
reported. In February, the committee reported significant improvement in communication, bus videos, and issues with ESE
transportation. The committee continues to meet periodically to address any concerns and monitor progress on various
improvement initiatives undertaken by the department.
