                                    120 SUPERINTENDENT ANNUAL REPORTSCHOOL POLICE AND LAW ACADEMY STUDENTS PARTNER FOR SUCCESSIn partnership with the Palm Beach Lakes Community HS Law Academy, School Police advances the District%u2019s commitment to campus safety and student opportunity by providing hands-on experiential learning through the Youth Court program. At the core of this initiative, the Youth Court program addresses juvenile offenses through accountability and education rather than traditional processes. Using a peer-jury model, the program empowers students to lead, sharpen ethical decision-making, and promote restorative practices. During regular hearings, Law Academy participants assume specific courtroom roles, including jurors, attorneys, bailiffs, and clerks.During FY26, School Police personnel mentored students and presided over hearings, ensuring fairness and modeling professionalism. Officers guided students through case preparation and courtroom protocol, turning real-world scenarios into powerful lessons in critical thinking and public speaking.By integrating safety operations and academic programming, the District strengthens the bond between law enforcement and the student body. The Youth Court partnership promotes behavioral accountability and prepares the next generation of leaders for careers in law and public service.Palm Beach Lakes Community HS Law Academy students, under the guidance of the School Police, practice legal skills. Law Academy students analyze case details and apply critical thinking to real-world legal challenges.
