122 SUPERINTENDENT ANNUAL REPORT2MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS Objective 2: Increase comprehensive support for student and employee well-beingSCHOOL RESOURCE MAPPING QUALITY ASSESSMENT TOOLThe District has successfully transitioned the School Resource Mapping and Quality Assessment Tool (SRMQAT) from a standalone project to a best practice adopted by schools. Key advancements this year include delivering a comprehensive professional learning suite that empowers school-based leadership teams, featuring self-paced modules, live training, and reflective toolkits, and establishing long-term operational norms through an annual bulletin and a finalized toolkit.Engagement has expanded significantly, with school-site participation rising from 22 to 38 active sites, a 73% increase. This growth reflects the successful integration of resource mapping as a District-wide norm, enabling schools to use consistent, data-informed mapping to align supports with student needs and strengthen school climate.Through this process, schools are strengthening their ability to connect students with the appropriate level of care. While community-based referrals and services address intensive clinical needs that extend beyond campus, data from FY25 to FY26 indicate a shift toward internal capacity. Community-based referrals decreased from 1,723 to 1,477, and the number of students receiving external services declined from 709 to 605. Conversely, school-based referrals rose to 3,060 and the number of students receiving on-site services increased from 2,388 to 2,538.These results signal a successful move toward earlier identification and more efficient triage of supports within the school environment. By expanding access to on-campus services while maintaining strong partnerships with community providers for intensive care, the District is fostering a more responsive, self-sustaining support system.Number of Referrals and Services0500100015002000FY25 FY26 (as of 3/31)Community-Based Referrals Community-Based ServicesFigure 5Caring First Community-Based Referrals and Services
