                                    150 SUPERINTENDENT ANNUAL REPORTCLINICAL EDUCATOR TRAININGThe District expanded the Clinical Educator initiative in FY26 to improve instructional practice and provide essential support for teachers. The program equips highly effective educators with the skills to mentor novice and pre-service teachers. By facilitating job-embedded coaching, the curriculum bridges instructional theory and practical application, ultimately fostering greater teacher confidence.Training focused on four core competencies: 1. Supporting continuous improvement through mentorship2. Leading effective planning conversations to enhance curriculum delivery3. Strengthening observation and diagnostic skills for better student outcomes4.Delivering targeted feedback that encourages professional growthMentors used a structured Plan-Observe-Analyze-Feedback cycle to guide lesson design and anticipate student needs. This approach allowed participants to drive growth using objective data. Throughout FY26, 275 teachers earned Clinical Educator credentials, a 37.5% increase over FY25. Furthermore, 50 additional teachers received training to support pre-service interns, increasing the District%u2019s mentorship capacity. These efforts strengthened professional learning and teacher leadership, contributing to a sustainable pipeline of highly effective educators throughout the District.ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGY FOR STAFFIn FY26, the Department of Educational Technology expanded professional learning to include artificial intelligence (AI) tools for school and District staff. A total of 6,942 educators and support staff participated in more than 83 training sessions, gaining practical skills to automate routine tasks and optimize workflows. This effort supports District Strategic Initiative D.1c by improving efficiency and productivity.The adoption of Board Policy 2.505 established comprehensive guidelines for the ethical use of AI technologies. Additionally, a subcommittee developed an AI Guidebook that outlines best practices for classroom instruction. To support these objectives, the District approved several applications:%u2022 Generative AI Assistants: Google Gemini and NotebookLM support administrative staff and teachers with writing, content creation, and document summarization.%u2022 Visual Content Creation Tools: Canva and Adobe Express enable staff to create graphics and presentations for communication and instructional use.%u2022 Teacher-Specific Tools: Khanmigo Teacher Tools, Gemini in Google Classroom, and Lumio AI Assist help educators create lesson plans, rubrics, and interactive assessments.These resources help teachers reduce time spent on administrative tasks, freeing up time for more meaningful interactions with students. Additionally, the Division of Information Technology launched an AI-powered chatbot on the public website and the employee intranet to improve customer service for staff and the community. Collectively, these advancements position the District as a leader in safe and effective AI integration.
