BOARDROOM

                                            TECHNOLOGY UPGRADE

The IT Infrastructure department, in partnership with the District’s
Construction department and The Education Network (T.E.N.), has embarked
on an ambitious project to improve the technology and infrastructure in
our District Boardroom. The Construction department provides oversight
of the building modifications needed, while the IT PMO is providing project
management services for the technology portion.

Included in the scope of work are significant upgrades to the lighting, displays,
sound, and technology infrastructure, as well as the building modifications
needed to support the above. New speakers and microphones have already
been installed, as well as new technology to allow the Board Chair to manage
the request order of Board member comments. Additionally, the media and
boardroom technology support staff rooms are being relocated and updated.

The lighting and display upgrades will need to wait until the building
modifications are complete to install the needed technology infrastructure.
Current plans are for building construction to begin in early March of this
year, with lighting upgrades due to start when construction wraps up, with the
expected completion of all changes by the start of School Year 2024-2025.
Great pains and coordination of efforts have been established to ensure the
construction and installation of new technologies will not affect the normal use
                                            and operation of the Boardroom.

The new construction and technology upgrades will provide a more polished,
professional, and modern appearance to the Boardroom, both in person and
                                            on broadcast mediums.

                                                   Multi-Factor

                                               Authentication

                                                      MFA FOR ALL EMPLOYEES

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) has become a cornerstone in the realm
of cybersecurity, providing an extra layer of defense against unauthorized
access to sensitive information. As digital threats continue to evolve, relying
solely on passwords for security is increasingly inadequate. MFA addresses
this vulnerability by adding verification steps beyond traditional password entry,
bolstering the overall security posture of online accounts and systems.
The primary motivation behind the widespread adoption of multi-factor
authentication is the recognition that passwords alone are susceptible to
various security risks. Common issues such as password reuse, weak
password choices, and phishing attacks can compromise even the most robust
password-based process. MFA mitigates these risks by introducing multiple
layers of verification, making it significantly more challenging for malicious

                                            actors to gain unauthorized access.
