     DISASTER RECOVERY




     The District is moving to the cloud for Disaster Recovery (DR). Cloud-based
     Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) is a pivotal component of modern
     business  continuity  planning,  ensuring  organizations  can  swiftly  recover
     and resume operations in the face of  unexpected  disruptions.  Traditional
     DR involves the creation of backup systems and data repositories at off-site
     locations, allowing for recovery in case of a disaster. On the other hand, DRaaS
     leverages  cloud  infrastructure  and  services  to  enhance  the  efficiency  and
     responsiveness of recovery processes.
     The importance of disaster recovery lies in mitigating the impact of unforeseen
     events, such as natural disasters, cyberattacks, or system failures. DR ensures
     that  critical  data,  applications,  and  systems  can  be  restored  to  operational
     status quickly, minimizing downtime and potential financial losses. In essence, it
     acts as an insurance policy for businesses, safeguarding against the potentially
     catastrophic consequences of disruptions.
     DRaaS takes this resilience to a new level by harnessing the scalability, flexibility,

     incidents. In the event of a disaster, DRaaS allows for rapid failover to virtualized
     environments, enabling seamless transitions and minimizing downtime. This
     efficiency is particularly crucial in maintaining business continuity and meeting
     stringent recovery time objectives (RTOs).
     Faster response times are a hallmark of cloud-based disaster recovery. The

     consumed  during  the  recovery  process. Additionally,  the  scalability  of  cloud

     Last but not least, disaster recovery and cloud-based disaster recovery are
