Message from the Director

Dear Transportation Services Team,

On behalf of Transportation Services Management, I would like to thank all of you who have
contributed to our Department’s success. Thank you for your dedication, commitment and
consistent hard work. Our Department is preparing to meet anticipated challenges of a most
difficult start of school. We may see more of the same challenges that we experienced over the

past year such as driver shortages, daily route adjustments, and additional bus cleaning
requirements. I remain optimistic that this team will rise above these unprecedented times.

With this coming school year, we will see student registration for transportation via “Register My
Ride” online for the first time. We will also see Barcode Scanning Devices on our buses. These units
will allow us to improve our routing efficiency as well as improve the safety of our students.

The parents and students of our county are depending on us to transport them to school safely,
efficiently, and on time in a frame of mind ready to learn. We must continue to strive for improved
on time arrivals and quality of service while maintaining a high safety standard.

Please celebrate the successes that we had over the past year and use the challenges we all
experienced as stepping stones as we progress into the future. This future cannot be realized
without you and the strong commitment you all share for the jobs that you do.

Let us once again put Kids First as education always begins with Transportation.
