The School Food Service (SFS) Department motto is Kids First… Providing Food For Thought and our
school based staff members of dedicated individuals truly lived up to that motto by working every day to
ensure our students had nutritious breakfasts, lunches, suppers, and snacks available to them.
The SFS theme for FY22 was “SFS Stepping Into the Future”. The SFS department wanted an emphasis on
the fact that, although they wanted some things to return to “normal”, they also recognized that not all would
return to pre-COVID operations and processes. They needed to step into the future with new ideas and
strategies.
The SFS team continued to persevere and excelled through COVID-19 pandemic challenges, staffing shortages,
and supply chain shortages. By being creative and dedicated to their cause of keeping Kids First and providing
nutritious meals to our students, School Food Service staff fed over 34 million meals and snacks.
