Dawn\Kara,
Thanks to Ron and John and their collective expertise, we were able to determine where the
problem actually was, and test a solution. The connectivity problem was caused by a change
made for CJIS compliance reasons, which led to a windows firewall issue, and I have already
worked with Maggie to implement a permanent fix. We tested the Access sync piece and it is
now working, and I’ll verify that the employees in limbo get uploaded to PS this evening.
On a personal note, I appreciate how helpful Ron, John, and all of his team always are
whenever School Police approaches them with an issue. I understand how busy it gets when
troubleshooting a major outage and I am grateful they made time to help.
Thank you,
Michael Kane

Subject: Netgate VPN box is ready and has been delivered...
To: David McKinley, Franklin Gorora, Mario Martinez
Cc: David Wilhelm, Michael Pare, Ed McGuigan
Good Morning Gentlemen,
IT Solutions Specialists Michael Pare has configured the second Netgate VPN appliance and
the device is ready for our remote out-of-network VBrick streaming. As we have discussed,
this eliminates disassembling an existing setup, moving the equipment and then later
setting up a second time at the original venue.
Many thanks to Network Engineer Ed McGuigan for guiding T.E.N. to the Netgate device,
Michael Pare for his setup/configuration and VBrick connect skills, and to both of these
gentlemen for patiently working with “Not a IT Guy” person like myself.
