District Password

     Expiration Changes

The Information Technology Division was required to comply with
security financial audits and Board Policy 2.501 on Information Security
     – Access Control, by changing the password expiration cycle from 90
days to 60 days for all non-instructional employees. This new security
measure will not only enhance network and financial system security,
but it will also help with future audits.

Employees affected by this change will be prompted to change their
passwords every 60 days instead of every 90 days. All instructional staff
will remain unaffected, and will continue with their 90-day password
     change cycles.

As a reminder, all passwords must comply with the
     following guidelines:

     • You cannot use any of your previous passwords or any part of your
        employee ID or user ID.
     • The password must be at least 8 characters long AND adhere to
three out of the four conditions below:

            • Uppercase letters (A through Z)
            • Lowercase letters (a through z)
            • Numeric digits (0 through 9)
            • Non-alphanumeric characters (special characters,
               for example, @, $, #)

Your cooperation and assistance with this important information
     security effort is greatly appreciated.
