Dale Blomberg, age 89, and a long-time member
of our SDPBC family, passed away on November
14, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. Prior to
coming to the District, Dale had two full careers, one
in the Air Force, and one at Pratt Whitney. Joining us
in 1993, Dale was most recently a member of the IT
Project Management team as a trainer and support
specialist. Dale provided hundreds, if not thousands,
of training sessions to District staff for the MS Office
Suite, as well as ParentLink/Blackboard. Dale will be
remembered for his genial personality, gentle humor,
and commitment to always continue learning. He set
a tremendous example by his work ethic, owning
his responsibilities, and his giving spirit. Such was
Dale’s dedication to his work, he was still on the job
until literally days before he passed. Dale will be
sorely missed by all who knew or worked with him.
We wish Dale’s family peace in his passing and
express our appreciation to them for sharing him
with us for over 30 years.
