• Provided Project Management services to many IT and District-wide
projects throughout FY23.
Some key projects and initiatives slated for FY24 are:
• Complete UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) - a project to replace the
aging fleet of UPS’s to ensure little disruption with power blips at schools.
• Enhance Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity in the Cloud for
mission-critical systems and applications.
• Replace the paper-based Student Registration form with an online and
mobile accessible version for parents.
• Cybersecurity Initiative #1: Implement multi-factor authentication (MFA)
through the portal.
• Cybersecurity Initiative #2: Implement IT Security Operations Center.
• Cybersecurity Initiative #3: Complete FY24 Security Awareness
employee training for full compliance.
• Chromebook Refresh: Initiate and complete Chromebook Refresh for
end-of-life devices.
• SIS in the Cloud: Move current SIS to a cloud solution for ease of
administration, reliability, and high availability.
All ongoing projects and new initiatives require a high-level of collaboration
and communication. The IT Division strives to provide the highest level of
customer service and satisfaction to our partners and schools to help with the
instructional needs of our students.
A primary Division goal is always to be ready to help and provide the best
customer service to our schools. It was very uplifting and inspiring to see that
IT was again one of the top divisions in the FY22 Department Quality Survey.
