HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS



        Automotive Service Technology                                                   Available School Options
        The Automotive Service Technology program provides hands–on training in a fully
        integrated, computerized, state–of–the art facility. This academy prepares students for   Choice

        industry: planning, management, finance, technical and product skills, as well as the
        underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues and health, safety and
        environmental issues. There are no eligibility criteria required for students applying to
        this program.


        Aviation and Aerospace Technology                                               Available School Options
        The Aviation Technology program at West Boca Raton Community High School is designed
        to prepare students for a career in the aviation industry. The program immerses students in the   Choice: None available

        to: pilot knowledge, aerodynamic principles, airspace, weather, flight deck instruments,     · West Boca Raton Community High
        Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), radio communications, safety, and airport management.
        West Boca Raton Community High School has partnered with both the Boca Airport Authority
        and Lynn University to offer students a myriad of experience opportunities, dual high school
        and college credits, and practical aviation industry experience within the local community.
        All students applying to this program must meet the following eligibility criteria: 2.5
        GPA.

        Band/Music Industry                                                            Available School Options
        The core curriculum for students interested in pursuing the Band/Music Industry academy
        is Music Theory, Advanced International Certificate in Education (AICE) Music for college   Choice
        credit, Commercial Music, and band or chorus ensembles. The Music academy offers honors     · Santaluces Community High
        credits in instrumental and vocal music as well as a unique music theater course. Students   In–House: None available
        have opportunities for multiple ensemble experiences.  The Commercial Music course is
        designed for students interested in the production of popular music. The commercial music
        track covers all different aspects related to music production in today’s music industry. All
        students applying to this program must meet the following eligibility criteria: 2.0 GPA.

        Biomedical Engineering & Health Sciences                                       Available School Options
        The Biomedical Engineering & Health Sciences Academy is a challenging, career-
        focused program for students interested in medical and health science careers, offering   Choice

        technical skills, which are further developed through clinical internships with local healthcare
        facilities. Successful completion of this four-year course of study prepares students for
        college-level  medical  sciences  or  entry-level  healthcare  employment  and  allows  them
        to earn valuable industry certifications such as Certified EKG Technician (CET), Certified
        Patient Care Technician Assistant (CPCT/A), and Biotechnology Aptitude and Competency
        Exam (BACE). All students applying to this program must meet the following eligibility
        criteria: 3.0 GPA.
