County WiFi Partnership ◦ More than 70 school centers host Wi-Fi base radios from
existing towers.
The first municipal Wi-Fi networks are expected to go live

beginning Fall 2021 as part of a County-wide public/private ◦ The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County has a
partnership fundraising goal of $1.8 million for WiFi extenders.

Palm Beach County has invested $15,750,000 of CARES Act
funds to provide infrastructure for internet access.

This will provide 50 square miles of coverage across Palm

Beach County with 13 focus areas.

▪ 25,000+ free and reduced lunch students may be
eligible to access the Wi-Fi networks in their local

communities.

▪ Wi-Fi extenders will be distributed to eligible families to
access the municipal Wi-Fi networks
