The District will continue to offer the Voluntary Pre-kindergarten (VPK) and

Head Start programs in 64 elementary schools, in alignment with all District
risk reduction protocols.

VOLUNTARY • VPK is a free educational program that is three hours in duration

and is available to all 4-year-olds that reside in Palm Beach County.
Pre- • Each classroom teaching team will be composed of a certified

teacher and credentialed assistant teacher.

• Children enrolled in a District VPK program may also participate in
Kindergarten • Certain schools also offer extended wraparound hours from 2 p.m.
