Wellness Promotion Task Force
The District’s Wellness Promotion Task Force
(WPTF) aims to create an educational forum
that allows students, staff, parents, community
partners, and public members to collaborate
successfully to promote healthier lives. With
the District’s ultimate goal of improving student
performance, the direction of the WPTF is to
encourage a proactive approach to holistically
address the health, wellness, and safety of all
school children and staff.
WPTF accomplishments for FY23 include:
• Delivered the “Putting It All Together; The Whole School, Whole Child Way in Palm Beach County” panel presentation
at the ‘2022 National Conference on Child Health and Well-being’ on November 3, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois, and for the
‘School Health Advisory Council (SHAC)’ on February 9, 2023
• Rebranded the Healthy School Teams (HST) to include the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child
(WSCC) model
• Distributed over 58 WSCC bulletins, around the ten WSCC components, to schools and departments
• Sponsored various wellness efforts throughout the District
• Distributed 12 monthly WPTF newsletters to promote the ten WCSS components and provide information, resources,
and opportunities for all stakeholders
• Shared a Wellness Promotion Policy Required School Assessment, around the ten WCSS components, to all schools
and had a 100% completion rate
• Hosted a WPTF hybrid celebration on May 5. This “Wellness Celebration” shared valuable information and insight
with the theme of “Mission Possible...Educate, Affirm, Inspire”.
• The Wellness Promotion Collaboration Team (WPCT) met three times.
