                                    104 SUPERINTENDENT ANNUAL REPORTSaddle View ES students and staff show their house spirit and commitment to friendship and teamwork.SKILLS FOR LEARNING, LIFE, AND RESILIENCY EDUCATIONThe District maintained a focus on student resilience, life skills development, and a positive school culture through the Skills for Learning & Life (SLL) framework. Lessons from the SLL Resource Center align with the Florida Department of Education%u2019s Resiliency Standards to support academic success, emotional well-being, responsible decision-making, and healthy relationships.In FY26, the District launched Resiliency Palm Beach to ensure full alignment with the Florida Department of Education%u2019s Resiliency Education Standards and the 11 Resiliency Characteristics. The program provided explicit instruction through structured lessons, weekly morning announcements with discussion topics, and extension activities that reinforced student recognition. To support the rollout, the District prioritized professional learning for instructional and non-instructional staff, offering training in reflective practices, adult resilience, and student well-being strategies. Highlights from the initiative include:%u2022 SLL Emotion Regulation Kiwi CohortStaff at 25 schools supported kindergarten and first-grade students in recognizing, naming, and regulating emotions, with select classrooms implementing calm corners to promote self-regulation.%u2022 SLL Climate and Culture House System CohortTargeted frameworks strengthened positive school climates across 26 elementary and middle schools, encouraging belonging, character development, and student leadership.Through these efforts, the District integrates life skills and resiliency education into the student experience to prepare learners for future success.
