                                    18 SUPERINTENDENT ANNUAL REPORTInformed Decision-Making and Industry PartnershipsThe District is enhancing the traditional counseling model by adding a data-driven career-coaching framework. This framework integrates career assessments in the middle school years, encouraging students to explore aptitudes before high school. Expanded use of Xello allows students to build personalized digital career portfolios that include college credit and work-based learning opportunities.Business partnerships are strategic alliances that ensure curricula reflect industry needs, with industry leaders serving as primary consultants on advisory boards. Furthermore, expanding internships, pre-apprenticeships, and job-shadowing opportunities provide students with the social capital and hands-on experience needed to successfully transition into the workforce. Examples include:%u2022 In partnership with the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, students gained exclusive access to a sector that contributes billions to the local economy. Students were trained on state-of-the-art propulsion systems, earning industry certifications that lead directly to high-paying technician roles. %u2022 In collaboration with Discover The Palm Beaches, students participated in industry tours and experiences at locations including PGA National Resort and the Palm Beach County Convention Center. %u2022 New in FY26, the Business Development Board hosted the inaugural Wall Street South Stock Pitch Competition for District students. %u2022 In tandem with CareerSource Palm Beach County and the Business Development Board, students engaged with top-tier employers, participated in mock interviews, and networked with executives across industries.%u2022 Through partnerships with other community organizations, such as CareerReady (formerly Suits for Seniors), students participated in an extracurricular program focused on soft skills.Jupiter Community HS students and Superintendent Burke visit Viking Yachts, in partnership with the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County.
